' OAKLAND — A morning-long search of a wooded area in Oakland turned up no clues to missing Waterville toddler Ayla Reynolds.'

' His uncle, Paul Stevens, who lives nearby, said the property where police are searching and the nearby subdivision is owned by two brothers who live in Oakland. The Morning Sentinel could not immediately reach them. '
' David Stevens’ 17-year-old son saw police searching the area this morning about 6:30 a.m. while waiting for the school bus. Stevens also said he saw police out in the area with a search dog about a month ago, and when he asked what was going on they told him it was a training exercise.
Nike Lane leads to Ridgewood Estates, a nine-lot subdivision that’s under development.
Stevens said he has hunted the area a lot, and he said field across the road from Nike Lane was cut about a year ago and was previously all woods.
Roberto Martin, who is building a house in Ridgewood Estates, said he saw police in the area earlier and they told him they were conducting training.
“I hope they find her,” Martin said of Ayla. '

' * Medical records from Ayla's visit to the arm specialist to treat a broken arm, released on Answers for Ayla today, reference two visits, Nov. 14 and Nov. 21. They reflect treatment for a fracture of the distal humerus above the supracondylar region. In the Nov. 14 report, the doctor stated the fracture was a little bit displaced but indicated the prospect for complete remodeling without surgery was very good, given Ayla's age.
* The doctor noted that the injury occurred three days before this visit, placing the injury on Nov. 11, exactly one week later than previously indicated by Ayla's mother, Trista Reynolds. Despite this date correction, Justin DiPietro's account to the Kennebec Journal of his alleged fall on the baby on a rainy night in the dark remains inconsistent with Wunderground weather records. Those records indicate it did not rain in Waterville on Nov. 11 at any time between sunset at 4:15 pm and midnight '
